Desert Board is an innovative company from the UAE, producing eco-friendly construction materials using upcycled palm fronds. Their main product, Palm Strand Board (PSB), is made from the leftover prunings of date palm trees, which are common in the region. This process helps reduce waste and turns it into a useful, durable material for building.
With a modern factory located in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi, Desert Board creates materials that are lightweight, resistant to moisture, and can be used in both indoor and outdoor spaces. Their approach supports sustainability by reusing natural resources that would otherwise go to waste.
At Sustainable Building Now, we are proud to collaborate with Desert Board, as their products help promote greener building practices in line with our goals.

Kuber – Blue Innovation for the Beaches of the Future
Kuber project was born with an ambitious mission: to preserve one of the planet’s most precious resources, water, through cutting-edge technology that enables the sustainable use of seawater along coastal areas. This unique system is designed to draw seawater directly from the sandy subsurface of beaches, naturally filter it, and make it ideal for non-potable uses such as swimming pools, showers, water games, and fountains in beach resorts and hotels.
Kuber’s operation is as simple as it is ingenious: installed underground and completely invisible, the system employs a triple natural filtration process that ensures clean and safe water for use. Special filters retain even the finest sand particles, preserving the quality of the components and reducing wear, enabling efficient, low-impact functionality. Constructed from marine-grade fiberglass, the system is available in two models to meet medium and large-scale water needs.
Kuber is an ideal option for beach resorts and hospitality facilities seeking to reduce potable water usage, saving up to 9,000 cubic meters of freshwater annually, with a potential yearly cost savings of over €20,000 per facility. The availability of seawater is secured by monitoring the phreatic index, ensuring a continuous supply even during peak tourist seasons. This solution not only provides significant economic savings but also offers an important contribution to lowering environmental impact, preserving an essential resource for future generations.
Kuber is the ideal ally for responsible coastal tourism and for public administrations focused on sustainability, standing at the forefront of an approach that combines innovation, environmental respect, and water conservation.
Zephyr – Innovation in Multidirectional Micro Wind Energy
Zephyr is an innovative solution that meets the growing need for adaptable and sustainable energy, offering a portable and multidirectional wind turbine capable of capturing wind from any direction. Unlike traditional turbines, Zephyr leverages an exclusive design that employs advanced aerodynamic principles: helical vanes and the Venturi effect to optimize airflow, generating a steady and efficient power output even in low-wind conditions.
Perfect for both urban and rural settings, Zephyr integrates seamlessly into modern environments with its sleek design, portability, and silent operation, making it ideal for large corporations and public administrations investing in green initiatives. The turbine is scalable, with models ranging from 3 to 50 meters to accommodate various energy production needs. Its ingenious modular structure also allows for easy and rapid maintenance, with the motor compartment located at the base, making inspections accessible and cost-effective.
Zephyr represents a bold new approach to clean, adaptable, and quiet energy generation. This project is ready to bring wind power to any setting—from cityscapes to natural landscapes—supporting an energy transition grounded in innovation and minimized environmental impact.
Bio Bambù is an Italian company specializing in environmental sustainability and CO₂ offsetting. Their primary mission is to promote sustainability by creating forests of giant bamboo, aiming to establish a 1000-hectare green lung in Veneto by 2030.
The company focuses on the cultivation and development of giant bamboo, following a model of circular and sustainable economy. Through reforestation projects, Bio Bambù aims to combat climate change, improve air quality, and create new habitats for local wildlife, contributing to ecosystem and community well-being.
To achieve these goals, the company employs advanced methodologies to quantify the CO₂ absorbed by giant bamboo plantations, integrating technologies such as blockchain and applications of Industry 5.0. This scientific and transparent approach enables the generation of certified carbon credits, helping businesses achieve carbon neutrality in compliance with current regulations.
Additionally, Bio Bambù supports the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fostering environmental, social, and economic benefits through their reforestation projects
